Rush Limbaugh has been warning about this from some time – that leftists are out to eliminate the red, white and blue of Old Glory and brand our flag as oppressive and racist. After all, look how quickly they got rid of the Confederate flag?
Our nation is in the midst of a national discussion over this very issue as we speak.
As you know, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s refusal to stand for the National Anthem because he says “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
So to some, the Stars and Stripes have already become offensive. A “trigger” that encroaches on delicate snowflakes’ safe spaces. It must be banned.
And if you think that’s a crazy tinfoil hat theory, think again.
