A Muslim husband is doing everything possible and impossibe to bring his daughter back after his wife left him for a Christian man.
The unnamed man, who works as the political analyst, turned to court to win custody of his nine-year-old daughter, who is currenly living with her mom and her new partner.
In court the disgruntled man claimed that his estranged ex, who converted to Islam to marry him, is now leading a “debauched Christian lifestyle” he didn’t approve.
He also stressed that he didn’t want his daughter to be brought up by a Christian. He even attempted to steal the girl — he had taken her to his relatives under the pretex of going on holiday with her to Algeria — and had refused to return her.
However, the judge in the Family Division of the High Court in London ordered the man to return the little girl to her mother.
A written ruling reads in part: “The father has been extremely critical of the mother and of what he now regards as her un-Islamic lifestyle, which he has described as ‘debauched’.
He has been dismissive of her care of their daughter and of her choice of partner. He plainly does not consider it appropriate for (their daughter) to be brought up where her mother lives with a Christian man.”
