When ever we talk about Blog branding, we always talk about Favicon as a crucial part. I already added it as a part of 3 things your blog should have from day 1. In WordPress, you can upload the favicon at the root of your WordPress directory and your Favicon will be live. Though in BlogSpot, we were required to edit our template to show favicon of our blog.
Couple of days back, BlogSpot team added a new feature to upload Favicon, you can directly upload Favicon to your BlogSpot blog from your BlogSpot dashboard.
Login to BlogSpot dashboard and click on design. Click on Edit infront of Favicon and click on choose file, browse your Favicon and click on save. Now your BlogSpot blog is live with new Favicon.

Seems like BlogSpot is working hard to bring new features to BlogSpot. Recently they added an option to optimize BlogSpot blogs for mobile and now easiest way to integrate Favicon into BlogSpot blog. Anyhow, I would prefer if BlogSpot team will add some new options in features to easy SEO optimization of BlogSpot blogs.
